Local transportation to and from Patong Beach
This is the bus station in Phuket Town located just in front of the market. It is most probably here you will go off and also catch the bus when you want to go back to Patong. You can also find buses to Karon, Rawai and all the other beaches here. Please note that these buses stop to go at 18.00.
The fare from Patong Beach to Phuket Town is 20 Baht.
The local buses depart from around Patong Beach every 30 minutes. They stop to go at 18.00. After that you must take the local tuk-tuks if you want to go from or to Phuket Town or from or to other beaches.
This little car i called tuk-tuk and is the most common transportation around Patong. There is a fixed fare of 20 Baht for transportation around Patong daytime. The fare for getting to Karon beach, Kata beach and Phuket Town is 200 Baht (daytime). Negotiate the fare during night time and watch your head when you jump on - the car is very small!
You will find these guys hanging around in many street corners in Patong, asking you if you want to go somewhere. The fare for getting around in Patong Beach is between 10 and 40 Baht.
Do always ask for the fare before you jump on!

You have several options getting from the air port at Phuket to Patong Beach:
- Air port taxi (2 different companies authorized by Thai Airways) - 480 Baht to Patong Beach. Buy the ticket at the counter inside the terminal building.
- Mini bus (shared with other passangers and authorized by Thai Airways) - 150 Baht to Patong Beach. Buy your ticket at the counter inside the terminal building.
- Several non-authorized companies waiting for you outside the terminal building.
